Orbit Odyssey CV Challenge
SUMMER COMPETITION
August 19-22, 2026

Date: August 19-22, 2026
This seminar is an in person program and located at the HKU Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park campus in Pudong New Area.
Step into the ultimate space‑AI* engineering showdown where imagination meets survival.
Orbit Odyssey is designed for students who want to build real robots, push their creativity, and experience engineering the way Aerospace Engineering Teams do — under pressure, in teams, and with a mission that matters. This is a realistic, real-world deployment: going from “works on my screen” to “works on a robot in real life.“
This program is suitable to participants who meet the following criteria:
- Strong interest in Al and robotics
- Age: 13-17 years old
- English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
Orbit Odyssey throws you into a high‑stakes mission after your starship crash‑lands on an unknown planet. With only an emergency rover, a rugged 3D printer, and your engineering instincts, you’ll race against time to rebuild your rocket and launch back into orbit. Across 4 intense days, you’ll master XRP robotics, build autonomous navigation systems, integrate Intel AI vision, and fabricate custom 3D‑printed upgrades to survive the alien terrain.
Your final challenge: program precision PID‑controlled maneuvers and compete in a live arena to see which team can repair their rocket and relaunch fastest. If you’re ready for a hackathon that feels like a real space mission, Orbit Odyssey is your launchpad.
Program Highlights
- Strengthen core STEM competencies
- Learn practical Al and data-driven problem-solving
- Gain exposure to real-world innovation and go-to-market thinking
- Prepare to compete globally as tomorrow’s tech leaders and entrepreneurs
