& VISION
MECKUP is an elite, hands-on pathway that transforms teenaged innovators into venture-ready founders via university-grade research, industry-grade tools, and investor engagement.
WHAT IS MECKUP?
Co-organised by the CETIC Foundation with support from Intel’s Digital Readiness Program and the University of Hong Kong, MECKUP Quest brings together students from across Asia for a hands-on competition that will hone their engineering, robotics, and real-world problem solving skills.
MeckUp Quest ’26
Orbit Odyssey starts as a mission-critical space rocket that has crash-landed on a remote planetary surface. Inside the wreckage lies the “Source Part”—vital data and resources contained within the student’s XRP robot. Students must program their robots to navigate the debris field, autonomously identify the recovery zone using AI, re-coordinate with the orbital station, and successfully launch back into orbit to complete the original mission.
The Platform
Participants will utilize the FIRST XRP (Experiential Robotics Platform) integrated with Intel’s AIxkit (SBC). This dual-processor architecture allows students to handle real-time motor control via the Micro-Controller Unit (MCU) while performing heavy-duty AI inference and Computer Vision on the Single Board Computer (SBC).

- The second place of the Hackathon are awarded 1200 rmb cash price by CETIC Foundation and a Hackathon medal
RISING STAR Award

Selection Criteria
Awarded to the top team that show strong creativity, advanced technical design, and the spirit of collaboration that drives AI innovation.
Prizes
- The overall winner of the Hackathon are awarded 2,000 rmb cash price by CETIC Foundation and a Hackathon Trophy
MOON Award

Selection Criteria
Awarded to 50% of the teams, honoring their dedication to learning, collaboration, and persistence in developing meaningful AI and robotics projects.
Prizes
- The third place of the Hackathon are awarded 800rmb cash price by CETIC Foundation and a Hackathon medal.
