OUR MISSION
& VISION
MECKUP is an elite, hands-on pathway that transforms teenaged innovators into venture-ready founders via university-grade research, industry-grade tools, and investor engagement.

WHAT IS MECKUP?
Co-organised by the CETIC Foundation with support from Intel’s Digital Readiness Program and the University of Hong Kong, MECKUP Quest brings together students from across Asia for a hands-on competition that will hone their engineering, robotics, and real-world problem solving skills.

MeckUp Quest ’26
As Hong Kong confronts ever more frequent typhoons, MECKUP Quest ’26 invites students to deploy intelligent robots in an imagined post-disaster recovery scenario, including clearing blocked mountain roads, navigating debris, and restoring access to isolated areas. In the process, it encourages participants to think about real-world solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 13 (Climate Action) — transforming robotics into a tool for building resilience and positively impacting the community.
The Platform
Students will work with the XRP robotics platform, an open-source, 3D-printable robot system designed for educational use. For this event, the Intel Alxkit SBC is integrated on top of the XRP, enabling students to experiment with advanced tasks using computer vision and artificial intelligence.
